The magenta petal reminds girls to follow instructions of those in charge of safety and security. Sal Spina came to visit us from Sea Cliff Fire Department. He explained fire safety and the importance of listening to instructions to our troop.
The people who tend to fall under the "Authority" description are parents, teachers, coaches, police officers, fire fighters, etc. When girls know how to demonstrate respect to these authority figures, they are more likely to learn from them and develop a positive working relationship with them. We were so happy to have Sal and his volunteers with us today, and the girls loved seeing everything he brought from the fire station. He even brought the fire truck!!
